Our written warranty

Every job we finish carries a written 2-year workmanship warranty. If the paint fails because of how we applied it, we come back and fix it. No cost, no argument.

2 year workmanship warrantyIn writing, on every job, with the exclusions listed plainly.

What is covered

For 2 years from the day we finish, we cover paint failure caused by our workmanship or our preparation.

  • Peeling, blistering, or flaking of the coating we applied
  • Chipping or cracking that traces back to how the surface was prepared
  • Coating separating from a surface we primed
  • Runs, sags, or missed coverage we did not catch at the walkthrough

What is not covered

Paint is a coating, not a repair for what is underneath it. These are the things no painter can honestly warranty, and we would rather tell you now than argue later.

  • Normal fading, chalking, or color change from sun exposure over time
  • Damage from moisture, leaks, ice dams, or drainage problems
  • Cracks that come back because the house settles or the drywall moves
  • Failure of paint that was already on the surface before we started
  • Bleed-through from knots, rust, tannin, cedar, or smoke
  • Mill glaze on smooth cedar and other surfaces that will not hold a coating
  • Hail, wind, fire, flood, and other acts of nature
  • Damage from pressure washing, scraping, or repainting done by someone else
  • Surfaces we told you in writing were a risk and you asked us to coat anyway
  • Normal wear in high-traffic areas, and marks from furniture, pets, or cleaning

How to make a claim

Call or text the number you have been using and tell us what you are seeing. A photo helps.

We come look at it ourselves. If it falls under the warranty, we schedule the repair and do it at no cost to you.

If it turns out to be something the warranty does not cover, we will tell you plainly what happened and what it would take to fix, and you decide from there.

The fine print, in plain words

  • The warranty starts the day we finish and the job is paid in full.
  • It covers the person we did the work for. It does not transfer if the property sells.
  • We need reasonable access to the area to inspect and repair it.
  • We match the original color and product. Exact color matching on a weathered surface is not always possible, and we will say so before we start.
  • This warranty covers our labor and the coating we applied. It is not a guarantee against every possible outcome, and it does not replace your homeowner's insurance.

This page is the warranty. There is no separate document with different terms, and nothing here changes what your written estimate says about the work itself.
